Gocompare.com was founded by Hayley Parsons, one of the original members of confused.com. Gocompare.com was created to provide a comparison service covering many different products, all aimed at helping the customer receive the very best for their insurance and financial requirements.

What we do

Gocompare.com fundamentally changes how quote comparison sites work, by introducing the ability to buy what you really want, not just what's cheapest.

We launched Gocompare.com in November 2006 with our car insurance comparison service. This was shortly followed by breakdown cover in January 2007, motorbike insurance in February 2007, van insurance in May 2007 and home insurance in September 2007.

How it works

In order to bring you the most competitive quotes, we don't charge you anything. Not a penny. All of our products are designed to find you the most relevant quotes we can, which means the quote you see is the quote we are given from insurers, which is the same quote you would get if you went directly to any of their sites!

How do we manage to stay in business? Our partner companies pay an introductory fee to us when you buy from them. Therefore it is in our interest to make sure that our panel of partners covers the widest range of risks and that our website is as easy to use as possible.
