The A2 is Audi's Mini-MPV. Powered by two 1.4ltr engines (diesel or petrol), the car benefits from a body completely made of aluminium, so weighs a third less than its rivals for added economy and performance.
The car has big-car attitude, despite its size, being solid on motorways and surprisingly unaffected by wind and surface.
Audi has a reputation for build quality and even the cheapest variant of the A2 does nothing to change that. Inside, the materials are all good quality and the finish superb. Equipment levels are high in the high-spec variants, although the cheaper cars have just the basics.
Driving position is good and is helped by having a fully adjustable steering column and a very adjustable driver's seat. Dash is well designed and of the expected quality with a lot of controls borrowed from the A2's bigger brothers. In its standard form, the A2 can only seat four adults, although a bench is available to allow five. There is acres of leg room and the boot is just adequate as long as everyone is frugal with their luggage requirements. Insurance groups range, surprisingly, from 5 to 9.
