The mighty all-rounder, the Punto has been around for a long time and still finds a market. New, it has been renamed the Grande Punto, but the older versions are still around and are a popular buy for their practicality and economy. It has always been the biggest of the superminsi, but despite an enormous amount of space, the interior trim can look a bit shabby. Equipment levels can be a bit basic, but that is par for the course with this type of car. All models have tinted glass, four-speaker RDS stereo, and rear wash/wipe; then going up the scale adds a split/folding rear seat, remote-adjustable mirrors, a height-adjustable driver's seat and steering wheel, a rev counter and body side mouldings; six-speaker audio, a centre console and front fog lamps come with the next step up, and then the GT adds alloy wheels, side skirts, headlamp washers and heated electric mirrors.
Not the punchiest car in the world and not the most refined, but there can be bargains had. Insurance groups 3-6 with the premium Arbarth coming in at a whopping 17.
