Ford C-MAX car insurance quotes and insurance groups

Based on the Focus chassis, the C-Max is Ford's compact people carrier. Smaller than the Galaxy, the C-Max benefits from the parent chassis with excellent handling and cornering, despite the increased size and capacity. It also benefits from quality throughout, with excellent build and finish. Storage is good with even underfloor storage for added security.

Although advertised as a people carrier, it doesn't come in a 7-seater form. However, there is plenty of room for 5, with seating arrangements that include diagonal adjustments to the rear seats for added comfort and vast amounts of baggage room at the back.

The driving position is good and the car feels like a car and not a bus, despite it being high.

The C-Max comes with a similar range of engines to the Focus, from 1.6 to 2ltr in both petrol and diesel, although there is no 'hot hatch' version as there is in something like Vauxhall's Zafira range. Running costs are low, with all engine sizes giving excellent economy figures, the diesels doing particularly well. Service intervals are generous and to date there are no reports of anything fundamentally miss, either structurally or mechanically Insurance-wise, the C-Max is group 6-8.
