Mitsubishi LANCER car insurance quotes and insurance groups

The Lancer is one of those cars that could easily be overlooked. Except that it is so keenly priced that it becomes good value for money. The car can accommodate 4 adults easily and a fifth on shorter trips, but more to the point, it can take their luggage with them.

Both external build and the interior trim are good, although the inside is not particularly 'rich' looking. Front seats are good, but the rear less so, although they have the advantage of easy access. Equipment is excellent, with a whole array of extras such as fifteen-inch alloys, metallic paint, air conditioning, a CD player, keyless entry, colour keyed electrically heated and adjustable door mirrors and front fog lights.

Power plants come in two sizes: a 1.6ltr and a 2.0ltr for the Sport version. Both are nimble engines and provide a drive that has obviously been developed through the competitive field. Steering is tight and sharp and the MacPherson front struts and the multilink rear suspension come from the sport scar market to give a firm, responsive ride. 15inch discs on the front bring the car to a comfortable halt aided by anti-lock and brake force distribution.

Consumptions are in the mid 30s, depending on the gearbox installed, and insurance is in groups 9 -13.
