If the 206 is a good family car, the 207 is better. Slightly bigger than the 206, the available space is even greater, with acres of room for passengers both front and back. Storage is also good, with plenty of boot space. Ride is supple and noise is quieter than many cars double the price unless the car is pushed very hard indeed. In fact, the car is so quiet you can even hear some transmission whine.
The 207 is a little more expensive than its rivals, but it does offer good quality with some nice interior surfaces and smooth controls.
Safety and security features aren't quite as good as those of the 206, with stability control and alarm standard on GT models only. Insurance groups range from 3 to 7 with the GTi reaching a mighty 15, which indicates the increased performance.
Good adjustment allows for drivers of all shapes and sizes and the instruments and controls are well designed. There is, however, an issue with the front pillars restricting visibility. There is a vast number of variants and there is a wide range of seats and trim between them, with the basic models suffering from less comfortable seats, especially in the back.
