Peugeot 307 car insurance quotes and insurance groups

The 307 has a strong act to follow...the 306, Peugeot's best selling car ever. And unfortunately, it has made hard work of it. Although the quality of finish and trim appear good and there is plenty of space for family and shopping, that really is the end of it. Already, there appears to be trouble with the electrics and build quality. And there are questions over interior trim which seems ok at the top and less so below.

Power units range through the usual: 1.4, 1.6 and 2.0ltr (normal and turbo) petrol units and the familiar 2.0ltr 136 HDI and 1.6ltr turbodiesesl with either 90 or 110bhp power outputs.

Driving position is good with good visibility through the steeply raked windscreen. Brakes impart a feeling of confidence, with brake force distribution and brake assist as standard. But the gear change is disappointingly imprecise and the steering isn't what you have come to expect from Peugeot, feeling instead spongy and unenthused.

The 307 has 4-stars in the safety ratings with a lot of work going into seat belts and headrests.

But a major point is that although the car is tall and it looks as though there is plenty of room, that room is a myth, especially in the rear where the roof slopes down. However, equipment levels are reasonable.

Insurance ranges from groups range from 4 to 14, to indicate the wide range of engines and spec available.
