The full-sized MPV, Vauxhall's Zafira has now more space for both passengers and luggage, although there are still better ones on the market. There are a lot of extra little pockets dotted around the cabin, but there is still not enough storage space, even with the optional fittings in the panoramic roof.
The Zafira's origins are in the Astra and this is obvious in the ride and performance of the car. Vauxhall have done a lot to improve the car's refinement, with road, engine and wind noise all kept to a minimum, which is not easy in a car this size...and neither is keeping it secure, which the have also managed.
Engines come in the same flavours as the Astra with a new 1.8 and a 2.0ltr producing over 240bhp.
The initial price of the Zafira is very reasonable and attractive, but the car suffers from a lack of equipment until you reach the top of the range when things like stability control become available.
