An Oxfordshire tank enthusiast has sparked the wrath of his neighbours by parking his four-tonne FV434 former military crane on the suburban street where he lives. Retired army engineer Nicholas Kravchenko, of Wolvecote, near Oxford has been branded “anti-social” by neighbours. One fellow resident of his street said the vehicle was “an eyesore.” However, the vehicle is taxed, insured and road-legal, meaning the authorities can do little to stop him. Self-styled ‘tank man’ Kravchenko was bullish in his response. He told The Daily Mail; “'I can go out and drive it any time I like. The council have not said it's anti-social and the police would have been straight on to me if it was parked illegally.” Want to learn more about owning and running an ex-military vehicle?
