As schools prepare for the Christmas break, pupils in England may be a bit savvier with their festive spending this year.
In September, secondary school pupils across England finally began learning about personal finance, joining their peers in Wales and Scotland in discovering the ins and outs of debt, mortgages and money management.
It's never too soon for young people to get informed about their finances, so Gocompare.com and Moneywise have teamed up to offer the UK school with the best personal finance teacher(s) £5,000 worth of equipment.
Secondary schools teaching personal finance across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland have until 31 December to register with Moneywise by filling in their details in the online form.
Then, from the start of spring term in January to its end in mid-April, schools and parents can formally enter the competition by submitting their entries to the website, including video and audio files. The winner(s) will be announced in June.
