How do I choose a room?

Think about the type of room and board options you require, whether it's a single, double, twin or suite. There may also be different classification given to the rooms by the hotel, such as standard or deluxe.

How do star ratings work?

Generally, star ratings range from one to five, with five being the highest, but some hotels have claimed six- and seven-star ratings, suggesting that their facilities go above and beyond those of typical five-star hotels.

When's the best time to book?

All circumstances will vary, but hotels will typically charge different prices for the same room depending on factors such as demand and how long away the booking is.

It's possible that this would see the price rising the closer it gets to the date you require, but then falling in the final weeks, days or hours as the hotel seeks to fill a vacant room.

How can I get an upgrade?

What happens if my plans change?
