Motorists told to stop for schoolchildren

Drivers in Hampshire are being urged to remember to stop for school crossings to help protect more than their car insurance premiums.
The local council's road safety team is launching its Stop means STOP campaign after it achieved success two years ago.
Recent complaints of motorists failing to stop have reignited the case for re-introducing the initiative.
"The road safety of our staff and the youngsters they are there to help in crossing the road is paramount to us," stated the county council's executive member for environment councillor Mel Kendal.
He added: "Motorists need to realise that not only do they risk a penalty fine of up to £1,000 and three points on their license, but more seriously they are gambling with people's lives."
Cornwall City Council has in the past called upon drivers to obey lollipop signs that request they stop to let school goers cross the road.
