A road safety event is set to take place in Glasgow soon, which could be good news for motorists looking to keep their car insurance premiums intact.
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) is holding its 73rd Road Safety Congress, in which it hopes to highlight the roles of local communities as well as drivers in how they can make their roads safer.
Speakers including MSP Stewart Stevenson, the Scottish government's minister for transport, will be attending the event, while Professor Stephen Stradling, of the Transport Research Institute at Napier University, will be discussing Scottish motorists' attitudes towards using cars and speeding.
The event will also explore the benefits of wider engagement with road safety across the country.
Kevin Clinton, head of road safety at RoSPA, said: "Safety on our roads is everyone's responsibility. Whenever we use a road, whether as a driver, motorcyclist, cyclist, or pedestrian, we need to be mindful that we have a role to play in ensuring the safety of all the other road users around us."
