A course has been launched in Yeovil to help female drivers keep their confidence in uncertain situations.
The Women in the Driving Seat evening course will be held by vehicle dealership Rowcliffes of Yeovil on May 1st; with topics for discussion including how to cope should the motorists break down by the side of the road or be alone in a deserted car park.
According to the Yeovil Express, ex-police Chief Inspector and human behaviour specialist Vic Botterill will be attending the event to discuss car confidence and issues like dealing with road rage.
Claire Baron, Rowcliffes' marketing administrator, said: "Personal safety and security are imperative for everyone, particularly women today."
She added: "We hope that by highlighting the risks facing women drivers, it will provide them with a wealth of information and practical advice."
Meanwhile, in related news, motorists in Thames Valley who break the law to the tune of three penalty points and a £60 fine are being given the chance to sit a course on enhancing their skills rather than face the punishment.
