Motorists confess 'naughty habits'

Organisers of a world-famous car show have launched an online confession centre after uncovering the bad
habits of the nation's drivers.
Bosses at the British International Motor Show have set up an email address for drivers to send their guilty secrets
to so they can be posted on the event's website.
The idea was developed after research conducted in the run-up to the event showed many drivers frequently eat at the
wheel, use the rear view mirror to check their appearances and even flirt with traffic wardens to avoid tickets.
Racing driver and motoring expert Vicki Butler-Henderson said: "We really are a nation of naughty drivers. It's
unbelievable what some of us get up to in our cars."
The research showed around a fifth of drivers admit to accidentally damaging a parked car and driving off
rather than hanging around to swap contact and
car insurance details.
Nearly 70 per cent of motorists polled owned up to being guilty of talking on a mobile phone while at the wheel,
five years after it first became a criminal offence.
The British International Motor Show will feature more than six hundred cars when IT appears at ExCeL, London,
from July 23rd to August 3rd.
