Female drivers in the south-east are to be taught how to deal with aggressive road rage attackers on a course organised by a local dealership.
Around 92 women motorists have already signed up to the programme, which is being held in Eastbourne and includes psychological tips and maintenance advice.
Local paper The Argus also reports the Women in the Driving Seat course will involve tips on how female drivers can protect themselves from attacks.
Quoted by the publication, Eastbourne Motoring Centre marketing manager Gail Taylor, said: "We want women to enjoy their independence and freedom and be able to travel safely and confidently on our roads."
She added the problem of aggressive and inconsiderate motoring "seems to be increasing".
The centre is a Vauxhall dealership and will host the one-day session on Wednesday June 12th.
Female motorists can also now benefit from a wide variety of specialist
women's car insurance policies.
Last month a woman was attacked in Kingswood High Street, near Bristol, by a coach driver after she gave way to four cars, according to local paper the Evening Post.
