A van maker is developing an ambitious environmental plan for its light commercial vehicle range in an effort to produce its cleanest and most efficient professional models.
Citroen is developing the Airdream line and said all those models which carry its special logo will meet demanding green criteria.
The company is planning to take the wraps off the scheme at the British International Motorshow at ExCeL, London, which starts on July 22nd.
Citroen commercial vehicle operations manager Robert Handyside said: "The company's responsible and award-winning commitment to reduce the environmental impact of its vehicles is now clearly defined by the new Citroen Airdream LCV initiative."
Commercial drivers interested in the range and curious about the general cost of Airdream models could go online to get
van insurance quotes for the vehicles.
The firm added its Airdream vehicles would all produce CO2 emissions of less than 120g/km or would be fitted with the diesel particulate filter system, or alternatively meet Powershift Band four standards.
Citroen models which already meet the Airdream standard include the C2 van and C-Airdream coupe concept car.
