Opera singing Gio Compario the star of the Gocompare brand

Larger than life opera singer Gio Compario is the star of the new Gocompare TV adverts. Gio pops up in the most unexpected of places and, through the medium of song, reminds people of the need to shop around for their car insurance – using Gocompare.com of course!

The George M Cohan classic 'Over there' has been reworked to create a new song for the campaign entitled 'Gocompare!'. The new song was recorded by Welsh opera singer Wynne Evans, who also plays the part of Gio in the TV campaign.Wynne is one of the UK’s leading Tenors, having sung as a principal with most of the major opera houses and orchestras.
