Terms and conditions

1. Introduction

This document sets out the terms and conditions in connection with the offer by GoCompare.com Limited (referred to in these terms and conditions as “GoCompare”) of a gift card or similar voucher which may be redeemed at Amazon.co.uk (the “Reward”). The value of the Reward is £30.

2. Eligibility

The Reward is open to select new and existing customers of GoCompare who, after receiving the offer of the Reward from GoCompare by letter ("Offer Letter") make a Qualifying Purchase (as defined below).

Only customers who are residents of the United Kingdom (excluding Northern Ireland) and aged 17 and over will be eligible to receive the Reward. 

Only one person per Qualifying Purchase will be eligible for the Reward. This Offer is not transferable and must not be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion.

3. Promotion Period

The promotion period commences on the date that the Offer Letter is sent and ends 23:59 on the last day of the month that your renewal is indicated to be due in, as stated in the Offer Letter (“Promotion Period”). 

Purchases made outside of the Promotion Period will not qualify for a Reward.

4. Qualifying Purchases

A purchase will be deemed a qualifying purchase where, during a Promotion Period and after receiving the Offer Letter, the customer runs a new quote and purchases a policy of car insurance using www.gocompare.com ("Qualifying Purchase") which is not cancelled during the applicable cancellation period. Qualifying Purchases include purchases initiated through the www.gocompare.com website but completed via the telephone directly with the product provider, providing the customer has informed the provider of the GoCompare quote and valid reference number.

Where a customer or supplier cancels a Qualifying Purchase the customer will not be eligible for a Reward. 

Purchases made on any quotations run outside of a Promotion Period will not be included and customers must re-run the quote during a Promotion Period in order to be eligible for the Reward. 

After the purchase has been made customers must visit https://preference.gocompare.com/vouchers within 30 days and enter the unique reference number included on the Offer Letter. Failure to do this will result in the Reward being declined.

5. Verification

Customers will only be eligible for the Reward where GoCompare is able to verify the Qualifying Purchase. Purchases not made through the www.gocompare.com website, including those made directly to a product provider without reference the relevant GoCompare quote or reference number, or where a customer renews an existing product with their product provider, shall not be eligible for a Reward. 

GoCompare accepts no responsibility for any delay, failure or error in verifying a Qualifying Purchase caused by a third party provider.  For verification purposes the same name and address must be used to make the Qualifying Purchase to which the Offer Letter is sent. 

6. Fulfilment

Customers eligible for the Reward and who have completed a Qualifying Purchase will receive an email from Giftcloud, (a trading name of Invitation Digital Limited) ("Giftcloud") acting on behalf of GoCompare, setting out the instructions for receiving the Reward (the “Reward Email”).

Please allow up to 120 days from the date of the Qualifying Purchase to receive the Reward Email. The Reward Email will be sent to the same email address to which was used to make the Qualifying Purchase. Rewards can only be awarded if a valid email address has been provided.

7. Reward Conditions and Redemptions

Customers will have 30 days from the date that the Reward Email is sent to redeem the Reward. 

Amazon.co.uk Gift Cards and Gift Vouchers (including products branded as Gift Certificates) ("Gift Cards") are subject to their own terms and conditions (found at www.amazon.co.uk/gc-legal) and it is your responsibility to check these. Gift Cards may only be redeemed toward the purchase of eligible products on www.amazon.co.uk. Redemption of Gift Cards on any affiliated website is subject to change in Amazon’s sole discretion. Purchases are deducted from the redeemer's Gift Card balance. Any unused Gift Card balance will be placed in the redeemer's Amazon.co.uk account. If a purchase exceeds the redeemer's Gift Card balance, the remaining amount must be paid with another payment method. Amazon EU S.à r.l. or its affiliates may provide Gift Card purchasers with information about the redemption status of Gift Cards that they purchase. To view your Gift Card balance, visit Your Account on Amazon.co.uk. No fees apply to Gift Cards. 

GoCompare accepts no responsibility for any delays or failures in claiming or redeeming the Reward which are due to a system failure by Giftcloud or a retailer, or any other factors outside of the reasonable control of GoCompare. 

No cash or other alternative in part or in full shall be offered in lieu of the Reward. Rewards are not transferable and you are not permitted to sell your Reward. Rewards should be treated like cash and be kept securely, they cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. Only one Reward will be delivered per person. 

Rewards are subject to availability and GoCompare reserves the right to substitute the Reward at any time and for any reason (for something of equal or more value), or withdraw the Reward if GoCompare believe that the terms of the offer are being abused in any way or where GoCompare is unable to verify the Qualifying Purchase.

GoCompare reserves all rights to take action (including, but without limitation, legal action) as is considered necessary in its sole discretion in order to prevent or redress any fraudulent or otherwise unlawful use of the GoCompare website or any Offer Email.

8. Data Protection

Personal data may be shared with Giftcloud strictly to the extent necessary for them to fulfil the Reward. Any data processed during the course of this promotion will be held and used in accordance with our privacy policy available at www.gocompare.com/about/terms. Customers using the www.gocompare.com website will also be subject to our general terms and conditions available at www.gocompare.com/about/terms.

10. Change to Terms

We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions from time to time and without notice.  We recommend that you occasionally check the terms and conditions to check for changes which may affect you.

11. Applicable Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales and subject to the sole discretion of the Courts of England and Wales.
