As the hours of driving lessons start to build up, you should be spending more time preparing for your theory and practical test outside of your lessons. There are plenty of books available for practising the multiple-choice theory test, as well as The Highway Code, but what about hazard perception and the practical test? This is where apps come in handy - with simulated multiple choice and hazard perception tests often built into them.
Because apps are easy to keep up-to-date, they tend to have the most up-to-date theory questions, test structure and hazard perception tests too. But there’s no shortage available to download, so we’ve compiled the 10 most highly rated driving test apps to make the decision easier.
An app licensed by the DVSA, the Driving Theory Test 2020 app combines six apps in one. It covers car, motorcycle, LGV, PCV and ADI theory tests, as well as the hazard perception test. The Driving Theory Test 2020 app also includes your own personal trainer who works out which questions you struggle with the most, and helps you to review them later.
